Digital Art On Campus

The project, which will carry the work of Turkish artists to campuses, aims to inspire university students with exhibitions and rich side events.

Launched for the first time this year with the collaboration of Akbank Sanat, Digilogue and BASE, "Digital Art on Campus" will take place between 19 April - 15 May 2019 at METU, Sakarya University and Akdeniz University campuses.

Award-winning artists from the “New Human Agenda ”exhibition, who have achieved important works in the field of digital art, Alex Verhaest, Lawrence Lek, Marshmallow Laser Feast, Gäetan Robillard, Refik Anadol, Candaş Şişman and Ozan Türkkan meet young art lovers on campuses through the “Digital Art on Campus” project.

With exhibitions, workshops, performances and video screenings that will bring the works of international and Turkish artists to the campuses, it is aimed that university students will have an idea about “new media” that has been developing in recent years and to inspire young artists who will produce works in this field.

The exhibition includes speculative, artistic and scientific research on anthropological questions such as the human mind, its skills, motives, its position within the social and natural food chains, and how it handles it.

“Digital Art on Campus”, which will be accompanied by interviews, workshops and performances, will be held at METU Culture and Congress Center between 19 – 25 April 2019, at Sakarya University Faculty of Fine Arts between 30 April – 3 May 2019 and at Antalya Akdeniz University Fine Arts Faculty and Olbia Art Gallery.
