Security is the main problem of the day. Developed to support security forces to avert violent acts, K5 security robots’ features include auto-patrol and 360-degree video recording.
Developed by Kightscope, a Silicon Valley enterprise, K5 security bots are designed to be employed at shopping centers, warehouses and office buildings. In the aftermath of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School and bombing at Sandy Boston Marathon in the U.S., Kightscope was founded in California in 2013 as a reaction to these tragic incidents. The enterprise supports security with technology and aims to offer more strength against violent acts.
Currently implemented at some Silicon Valley companies and a shopping center, the robots can hear people and provide answers. They can also detect unusual sounds or movements. Kightscope currently works on a new software that enables robots to detect guns in crowded areas and predict criminal scenarios based on collected data.
